DRIVER ASSAULTED IN WATFORD

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a pregnant driver was assaulted on Wednesday February 11 outside Watford Junction train station.

It happened between 5pm and 5.15pm on Woodford Road. The victim, a 26-year-old woman from Buckinghamshire, was driving her vehicle through a bus stop area when a female offender shouted towards her.

She then opened the driver’s door and assaulted her before the vicim pulled the door shut and drove away. The victim sustained bruising to her face and stomach.

The offender is described as a black woman with her hair tied back, wearing dark clothing and trainers, and carrying holdalls or bags over her shoulder.

PC Dean Woodgate, investigating, said: “This was a nasty incident where the victim received some bruising.

“I would really encourage anyone who has any information or who can identify the offender to come forward.”
